"Thoughts from a Teacup" Painting - Painting the Clouds

The work is part of the project Thoughts from the Teacup, which was based on a book written and illustrated by Maria Mateescu, and an exhibition at the National Museum of Literature. 

The book "Thoughts from the Teacup" is about an encounter with oneself over a cup of tea. The idea of thoughts in the teacup is a consequence, a result expressed after I realized that self-analysis, and then self-education of the mind, is important and influences every subsequent external action.
This process of observing one's own train of thought, where a distance, a space is created between oneself and thoughts, seemed amazing and amusing to me at the same time.

A cup of tea becomes a world of reverie, where you detach yourself from worries, floating above the clouds and painting them... Or, painting the clouds, they became real...

The painting is very suitable for tea lovers, for those who habitually ponder, with their heads in the clouds, to dream, to contemplate and to enjoy the small and simple things that make our lives beautiful. And especially, for those who need detachment from material things and the belief that we are the ones who, by controlling our thoughts, can make our lives better.

It is an art print made using the giclee technique on special Fine Art Matte paper with a matte, velvety appearance.
