In some works, the cat or the geranium flower are represented as a shelter, a comfortable space.\u003cbr\u003eThe human character sheltered alongside plants and animals no longer has the role of master over what is on earth – a conventional concept we have grown accustomed to over time, but rather is the one who this time finds refuge and hospitality in the midst of nature, the one who is welcomed and reconnected.\u003cbr\u003eThe relationship of man as master – animal as property of man is eliminated and replaced with a relationship of friendship and communication, in which plants and animals tell stories and are listened to. Man is the vulnerable one, who needs protection and help from the natural world.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI named the painting \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eStorytelling\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, because the model I painted from is my own cat, named \u003cem\u003ePisa\u003c\/em\u003e.
